Prescriptions
In almost all cases you will be required to make an appointment for a repeat prescription. Your doctor has a medico legal obligation to review your condition/situation prior to writing a prescription.
Most prescriptions given by your doctor will give you sufficient medications to last until you need to be reviewed.
Results
In most cases your doctor will require you to make a follow up appointment to discuss the results of any tests that they may order for you.
Referrals
You will need to make an appointment to see your doctor to gain a referral to a Specialist. This will enable the doctor to ensure that the specialist gets up-to-date medical information about you and also fulfills the legal requirement by your doctor.
Payment of Accounts
From 1st June 2011 there will be an account keeping fee of $20 added to your account if not paid on the day of your visit. This is not claimable by Medicare Australia.
